Okay, I just had literally two back-to-back transformational sessions, and they kind of just brought into my awareness how important intuition is in order to create like true life change, and I want to talk a little bit about like what I mean by that. So, I have had many a traumatic thing happen to me, right? And when those things happened, my first instinct for me in the past would have been to go seek support. Right, I've always been. I want to understand. I want to learn why. Like, why did this happen? Like, what can I do to prevent this from happening again? Kind of person. So, from the skills, knowledge, and understanding I had of the world and myself in the past, like that would have been something like therapy, right? I had like a lot of PTSD post COVID, like from nursing in the ICU, right? Literally watching so many people die, like horrific deaths. So I had a lot of PTSD from that, and I went to therapy, and I was working on that, and I felt like I couldn't really get past it the way that I wanted to, and it kept coming back up, and I was still having like the PTSD symptoms, thoughts coming through on a regular basis, like I was having the visuals, and I couldn't necessarily control when that would happen, when it would come up, things like that. And I also, you know, was seeing life coach and working on things from that perspective. So I had a therapy lens, I have a life coaching lens, and despite working on like myself regularly, like showing up pretty much weekly for sessions to work on myself to try to get to the root of various issues, and then when Shane passed away again, showed up and went to therapy on a weekly basis to work through and shift things. And here's the thing: I didn't fully heal from either the PTSD from COVID or the grief and trauma of like Shane and his passing and everything, till really learning the intuition and stuff that I know now. And here's why: with the tools and the modalities that I was using, and I even had like done some like Reiki and energy work and stuff, and had that done on me. Right, like like I was doing the things, I was meditating, I was going for walks, I was doing quote unquote all of the things that I knew how to do at those times, but there is so much that is way beyond our conscious level. So what I that basically being said, we have a conscious brain, right? Our logical, critical thinking brain, our frontal cortex section, so like the front part of your brain behind your forehead, is the part that is making most decisions from a logical perspective. You are consciously choosing to do something. You are consciously choosing to respond, to act, to take an action-all these things. Conscious brain. We have subconscious brain. This is like deeper parts of our brain. Now, the subconscious brain is a lot of what is choosing and causing us to work on autopilot, causing us to make decisions that we don't necessarily understand. A lot of the times, traumas are held in the subconscious brain, but the thing I did not understand about the brain prior to these things happening to me was the traumatic event wasn't actually the first instigator of a belief system being created, right? The traumatic event was not the first instigator of a belief system being created. The traumatic event was a reflection. It was a the world reflecting back to us an imbalance that we already had, so we were already thinking a certain kind of way, and that traumatic event amplified it. It like literally was like putting a magnifying glass to that belief system. So the way that our brain works is when we have something that is emotional. Emotionally significant, your brain says, "Hey, we need to remember this, and it builds stronger neural connections to neural connections that are already formed. It takes intentional thought and creation to build a new neural connection that's not already there. So when things happen to us, our brain is amplifying neural connections that were already there, but making them stronger and more significant.

And so, when you look at traumatic things that happen, would you be like, "Oh no, something positive is going to be what my brain takes this situation to be" Not automatically, right? Our brains are naturally negative focused because the negative is going to protect you from a lion, tiger, bear, or eating the wrong mushroom, right? Our negative focused is what is going to protect you and keep you safe. So our brains are naturally negative focused, and that is evolutionarily beneficial for a human trying to get like survive at hunter-gatherer times. So your brain is going to amplify the belief systems that are already there, and generally those are negative belief systems. So when you look at the reflection of a traumatic situation happening in that moment, it isn't that right belief. So when you dive in and look at like, wow, I was thinking this person, or this person did this, and they made me feel this in that moment. That is superficial, which is why, like me and so many other people, like I could go to therapy and coaching sessions about this topic, and not actually get to the root that actually created the shift, because the the the root had like it wasn't that traumatic situation. The root issue that was creating the belief systems that then like amplified probably was either picked up from my parents, it says we can inherit, we can inherit emotional belief systems. We can inherit energy from our parents, even if your parents aren't in the picture. You can literally inherit energy from them, and continue to believe that. So it's like basically like imagine your parent gave you a pair of glasses that you are now seeing the world through. So that lens that you're looking at the world through is then creating a perception. And so your child-like mind at that early ages said, "Okay, I have this perception. This is the lens I'm seeing the world through. I'm going to then believe certain things, and those beliefs that I have are going to create evidence that prove that belief system and amplifies it. So your mom could have given you the belief system, but then you then created all this evidence that reinforced and continued that belief system to amplify and amplify and amplify. So if you're not even the one that created that belief system. Is it even possible for you to logically go and look at something that happened to you or a pattern in your life and actually get to the true root belief system? Like I, I don't think it was something that I could possibly do. And a lot of the times, when something happens, it's really, really, really great to start playing that why game. Okay, well, why do I think this? Like, what is my perception of this? Why do I think that? What does what am I making that mean? Why do I think that? Like, we want to dive deep. We want to get as close to that root as possible. But the really big thing is having your own intuition, or and somebody who has trained intuition, and I want scientifically trained intuition. I'm not talking about like the person who just has natural intuition, like the psychic on the side of the road, right? Like we want somebody who truly has trained it and understands all the nuances and the energies behind it and the influences that can happen. Because if somebody isn't trained in intuition, what can happen is they might be channeling themselves, or they might be channeling a guide, or unfortunately, like a dark force thing that then that could interfere and create a message that's not necessarily the most accurate and most truthful for you, which means you're not going to get the best shift, the best results. So coming back to this belief system, right? We can't logically get to that deep root belief system, so we have to use other tools, and the other tools is something that we can do intuitively, and this is something that literally came through so strongly when I was looking doing this read this morning. Was like. This visual of seeing a like going down the highway, and you like the end of the road is your destination, and so as you get closer, it's like a sign being like, hey, you're 10 miles out.
Janna Holterman 10:15
Hey, you're five miles out. Hey, you're four miles out. Hey, you're three miles out, and this is the road that we travel in your subconscious brain, like in it, we look at it. It's like the neural connections of hey, this is the belief system that she's aware of. So cognitively, and she's aware of that. It you know she doesn't feel like she has what it takes to create the life that she wants. So she's aware of this belief system, but beneath that, under the surface, she can play the why game, and maybe she could get down to beneath that. There's this belief that I'm not enough, and if she's really, really, really, really good. She could play the game, and we can continue down this road. And now we're only like three miles out from the true core. But a lot of the times, this is when we need that intuition of like, okay, I can see how this belief system created this belief system. So we want to get closer to it. And then after the, I'm you know I don't have what it takes, and then it's like, okay, I'm not enough. And then deeper below that is, I'm not worthy. Okay, and then deeper below that is the true root belief system that is like the end all be all. So if we can take that belief system and shift it, it will like domino effect shift all those other belief systems. So the true root could be, I'll never amount to anything, or you know I am not valuable, or I don't like. Never mind. So I'll never amount to anything. We can just continue with that that belief system, right? Can you, if you took a moment and you're probably like, this is what happens, right? Our we kind of get triggered, so like when we get these belief systems, it's either I have people being like a having a oh shit like that makes total sense. Everything in my life is clicking into place. I've had people just like burst into tears, like just start bawling, and then I've also had people who are like, okay, I gotta get my like their hackles are up a little bit, and they're like, no, that can't be it. Like that that can't be it. But if you were to then look at your life and go like, okay, if you had this belief system at the true root, how does that ripple effect actually create the way that you've shown up, the experiences, how you've like sabotaged yourself or held you back, like the obstacles that you've had, the results that you have, and every single time they're like, "Oh my God! Now I can see, like, why I've created what I've created in generally a way that we don't necessarily want, but I can see that. And so this is what I mean in that Intuition is the only thing that I have ever come across, and I literally have been studying neuroscience. I've been studying the emotions. I have been trained as a life coach. I've been trained as a nurse. I is the only thing I've ever come across in all of my experience with is to be able to actually get to the true subconscious root belief system and pull it out and actually change it, and the amount of life change that can happen from rewiring and recreating this belief system in like an hour session, is the equivalent to like fucking 10 years of therapy. I I kid you not. When I started to like do it this way, I number one healed all of the PTSD that I had from COVID. I do not have any intrusive thoughts. I do not have any visuals. I don't have any of the dreams, any of that happening at all, whatsoever. And the same is true with everything that's happened with Shane. I can recreate and like tell the story to from a lens of like what is possible and how capable you are, so that people can know, like you know, no matter what happens to you, that doesn't mean that you aren't capable. And but it doesn't haunt me. I don't have visuals. I don't have the thoughts. I don't like wake up to nightmares anymore, which I did for years.

And I did so much work to try to move past that, but nothing worked until I had intuition training and was able to really, really get to the true root belief system, and then combining that with figuring out the root emotions that were that are mixed in with that, and doing nervous system regulation work, like actual true fucking healing. Like I, I kid you not, true healing. Like I don't know how to say it enough times. It's amazing, and to be able to watch this happen with my clients is truly powerful. Like, I don't know. I feel feel like this episode is like just me being like, you wouldn't believe how amazing this is. But that is that is how I genuinely feel. Like I just feel in awe of it, and I am truly, truly grateful and honored to be able to help people at this deep level and actually create genuine life change in such a short period of time, and that's not to discredit other modalities. I am grateful for those other modalities. They did help, but nothing cured like this work does, and this is ultimately why you know I think it's part of my life path to teach others intuition and how to understand their own nervous systems, their own emotions, their own brain at this deep level, because this is truly how you create the life that you want to live, how you feel the way that you want to feel, and it is a very beautiful experience. And so, if this is something that you're like, okay, like maybe I followed half of what this lady was talking about, but I do think that it's something powerful, and maybe I want to explore that. Maybe I want to understand that more. Intuition fundamentals is literally kicking off in seven, six days now. It kicks off september 8. This is literally a eight week kind of intensive program. We meet every single week. You're gonna learn a concept about your intuition, and then you're gonna have like time for Q and A, and then breakout rooms so you can actually practice and implement. My ultimate goal is that you take your natural intuition and grow it to have this deeper trust and connection for with yourself, but to be able to make it incorporated with the rest of your life, just like you use your vision and your hearing and taste on like a moment by moment basis. Like I want you to be able to do the same with your intuition, and that is kind of what this course is really designed to help you with. So, if that sounds like something that would benefit you, you can sign up at jannaholterman.com/intuition-fundamentals, or you can follow the show notes.
