38. Nursing Burnout Interview with Ashley Krumrine

This episode we interview Ashley who went from being a burnt out ICU nurse working nights just to trying to care for her kids during the day. To being a school nurse to help be more present for her family. Then realizing and following her true passion, getting her masters in creative writing and taking her Nursing and life experience and pouring them into her book Vital Signs.

More about Ashley: Ashley Krumrine is a nurse by day, writer by night, and mom 24/7. With over a decade of experience as a registered nurse, she has worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and now brings her expertise and compassion to school nursing. She lives in small-town PA with her husband, two kids, and two giant dogs who refuse to respect personal space.

Ashley holds an MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stevenson University. She has had the pleasure of working for two Baltimore-based literary magazines, and her work has been featured in the Baltimore Fishbowl.

When she’s not juggling shifts and snack requests, you’ll find her nose-deep in a spicy romance novel, booking her next real-life getaway, or covered in glitter from an overly ambitious craft project.
